1) Overview

The goal is to provide a method for the mobile applications and websites to access the content of the website.

API is written so as to provide a simplified and unified singular point of access to the system. As new requirements come to light, the system will change as necessary.

2) General Guidelines

2.1) Domain

API domain for requests will be provided during initial setup.

\n

2.2) Endpoint

\n

All endpoints are through /api/. All parameters are required unless otherwise specified. An example request URL would be http://localhost/api/eng/all.

2.3) Request Type

\n

At this time, all API requests are made with GET over HTTP.

\n

2.4) Best Available Language

\n

If a requested image description, copyright, author name, or biography is not available in the requested language, the best available language will be used instead. This is determined in the following priority (highest to lowest): requested language, English, original language. This is also used for articles if the full query parameter is provided.
